Position: Millwright / Mechanical (industrial)

ROLE :

• Work in a team to ensure preventive and curative maintenance of production equipment.
• Participate in the improvement of equipment in place and the implementation of new equipment.
• Provide support to production teams.
• You need to be safety-conscious, energetic, and able to understand your role in our team.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Education: College diploma in a specialized field.
• Experience: Sawmill experience is an asset
• Language: Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support the Health & Safety program.
• Maintain communications program to keep employees informed.
• Support compliance with collective agreements and sound union / management / employee relations.
• Report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

SETTING & LIFESTYLE :

GreenFirst s Chapleau sawmill, with 150 employees, produces softwood lumber as well as wood chips. Chapleau, with a population of 1,900, appeals to outdoor enthusiasts, and is known for boating and fishing among other activities.
